Principals
Jamie Kelly is a long-time resident in the neighborhood of healthcare information technology. She began by crunching healthcare planning and marketing data with Sachs Group, Inc. She then scanned the diagnostic imaging scene at Marconi Medical Systems before dedicating her head and heart to patient safety technology at Bridge Medical, Inc. Over the years, Jamie has contributed to the growing body of medication safety-related literature and continues to be a topic expert as the chief-know-it-all of Entropy Research, Inc. Consistent with her overactive Type-A personality, Jamie is a recipient of the Al Gore Hammer Award for contributions to reinventing efficient government. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Economics and Japanese from Michigan State University.
Mike Wisz is a “whiz” at healthcare technology with diverse operational leadership experience and strategic analysis expertise in a variety of solution and market arenas. Mike’s 20 years of healthcare technology experience encompasses executive roles in marketing, product management, business development, and client services. Mike’s consulting is distinguished by an ability to analyze complex scenarios, identify salient issues, develop action plans, and communicate clearly. Mike has served in key leadership roles with pioneering technology vendors such as Bridge Medical, Cerner, Pyxis, and Nellcor Puritan Bennett. As a recognized industry expert and communicator, he has authored over 30 articles, white papers, and has authored or contributed to several books on healthcare information technology. Mike has also delivered over 40 presentations and webinars to senior executive, IT, Nursing and Pharmacy audiences. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, San Diego and an MBA in Marketing from San Diego State University. Mike’s interests include improvisational comedy and finding new ways to keep his wife happy.

Megan L. Pennie has over a decade of professional marketing, business strategy consulting and healthcare technology experience. Megan provides marketing, sales strategy and writing advisory services to leading healthcare organizations. Megan has led marketing efforts at several companies; she most recently was the Director of Marketing at LMS Medical Systems, a obstetrics decisions support software company, based in Montreal, Canada. Prior to LMS, she worked as the Director of Marketing at Premier Inc., a healthcare alliance and informatics company based in San Diego, CA. Megan worked as a strategic and technical consultant advisor for MicroStrategy, a business analytics software firm, and served clients including the National Institutes of Health, Longs Drug Stores, Ohio Department of Education, and American Express. Megan holds an MBA and Masters of Public Health in healthcare administration and policy. Megan has a degree in biology with a minor in technical writing and journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Thea C. Norman, Ph.D. has over a decade of protein biologics, metabolic engineering, start up biotechnology and business strategy experience. Thea provides startup evaluation, biotechnology business strategy and writing advisory services to both leading healthcare organizations and entrepreneurs desiring entrée into the biotechnology startup setting. Thea has led pre-clinical and clinical human therapeutic programs; she most recently has served as the Project Manager for a Phase IIb clinical trial at Ambrx, a protein biologics biotechnology company, based in San Diego, California. Prior to Ambrx, Thea worked as a Senior Scientist at Microbia, a Boston-based pre-IPO biotechnology company focused on the creation, development and commercialization of innovative human medicines. Thea holds a PhD in chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and has completed post-doctoral training in combinatorial chemistry and yeast genetics at UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco, respectively. She is published in top-tier journals and is listed as an inventor on four issued US patents.
Nadine Padilla’s passion for healthcare innovation is surpassed only by her desire to help life sciences and medical technology companies enhance value through strategic communication. Her career began in the financial industry and includes over 15 years of experience with innovative medical technology leaders. Mentored by some of San Diego’s most successful CEOs, Nadine has established a reputation for successfully executing programs to support sales and cost of capital initiatives. Nadine excels at effective communication of complex business and scientific issues, as well as marketing and branding messaging. As a member of Biosite Incorporated’s management team she oversaw investor and public relations, employee and clinical trial communications, corporate branding and community outreach. Nadine’s key strength is working collaboratively with clients and their stakeholders to establish productive relationships.
